The Mafia chieftains of Detroit are being systematically bumped off. Big Sid, Frosty Tubman and Billy Conover - all slain brutally and nobody can finger the killer. In an atmosphere of intense underworld paranoia, Hit on the House follows twin investigations to uncover the identity of the hit-man. One is by the wry, existential Detroit cop, Detective Sergeant 'Fang' Mulheisen. The other by a sexually-charged, quasi-androgynous hit-man for hire, Joe Service, retained by what is left of the mob hierarchy to dispense with the threat. But who will get there first?
